Lotion Bars and Jars

These feel so good on winter skin. Make them in easy application bars or little mason jars!

I add all my ingredients (except the essential oils) to a glass measuring cup with an open handle and spout and I simply hang it on the side of a small pot with water and use that as my double boiler.

After the mixture has melted and you’ve removed it from the heat and added your essential oils, you can pour the mixture straight from the mixing cup spout into the tubes. I found this easier than trying to use a funnel.

These lotion containers are the mini size (15ml). The bars recipe makes approximately 3 of the 15ml containers.  I had a little left over so I poured it into 2 lip balm tubes – my kids will love these for dry hands!
