This chocolate mint protein smoothie is super yummy AND it’s Paleo! My kids love this smoothie and beg for it all year (even in the cold winter months!).
It’s super easy to make too! Just mix all the following ingredients in a blender:
- 1 cup organic frozen blueberries
- 4 ice cubes
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1 T organic cacao powder
- 1-2 T collagen powder
- 2 -4 drops Young Living Peppermint Vitality essential oil (click here to order yours)
This make approximately 1 large serving or 2 small ones. In my house, I usually double the recipe to share between myself and my 3 young kids, though they would drink even more than that I’m sure 😉
For the collagen powder, I use the Great Lakes Gelatin, Collagen Hydrolysate in the green can. You can find it on Amazon. It’s approved for the autoimmune protocol and it’s completely tasteless. 2 T has about 11 grams of protein!
If you’re looking for more information about essential oils, you’re in the right place! You can start on the home page www.oilyinoregon.com or e-mail me for help getting started!
